Asian Journal of Social Studies (AJSS(Print ISSN: 3106-6836; Online ISSN: 3106-6844) is a peer-reviewed academic journal published by Hong Kong Information Education Publishing Company Limited. AJSS publishes two issues each year in both Chinese and English. 


Scope and Topics 

The research field of Asian Journal of Social Studies focuses on social changes and development issues in various Asian countries and regions against the background of the interweaving of globalization and localization, covering core areas such as social structure transformation, cultural identity and inheritance, population and family changes, grassroots governance and social policies, social mobility and inequality, digital society and network governance, environment and sustainable development, ethnic relations and social integration. It is committed to exploring the unique development paths, cultural logic and governance experience of Asian societies, revealing the underlying mechanisms of social phenomena in the region and their cross-cultural comparative significance, and providing an academic platform for understanding the complexity and diversity of contemporary Asian societies.


Open Access Policy

AJSS is a fully open access journal that provides immediate and permanent free access to all published content for all users worldwide without requiring any article processing charges (APCs) or subscription fees. All articles are published under the Creative Commons Attribution (CC BY) license, allowing unrestricted sharing, distribution, and reuse with proper attribution. Authors retain copyright of their work while granting the journal publishing rights. We support responsible scholarly sharing by permitting authors to deposit preprints in any repository without embargo and postprints immediately upon publication. This sustainable model maintains the highest standards of peer review and editorial quality while eliminating financial barriers to knowledge dissemination.
